
Manufacturing workers in Kruja and Fushë-Kruja have started protests outside their workshops today as they have not benefited from the “war salary”, as it is known the government’s financial support package for the pandemic job closures.
Employees say that during the period March-April they worked very few days and the salaries of these two months are not enough for their livelihood.
Top Channel learns that the particular unit pictured, has dismissed its workers on March 23th due to pandemic. Their return took place on April 4 but are expected to be let go again.
The law on the ‘war salary stipulates’ that all employees who have been fired before the 10th date benefit from the salary of 40 thousand ALL, but the applications must have been submitted by April 10.
