Health and Social Protection Minister, Ogerta Manastirliu, during her speech in the Albanian Parliament stated that the measures taken by the government to prevent COVID-19 infection have been timely taken and thus avoided the health system collapse.
Manastirliu expressed gratitude to the heroes – as she considered the medical staff – who are fighting in the first line of fire with COVID-19.
“Our heroes, those in the front line of this confrontation are the doctors, nurses, epidemiologists, employees of the Emergency Services, who with self-sacrifice are there every minute of the day and every day of the week, facing with selflessness the front line of the fire, I find the opportunity to thank them again”, said Manastirliu.
During her speech in the Assembly, Manastirliu, added that the proposed legal changes put the Albanian legislation in line with other countries that are fighting against COVID-19.
