During an inspection at the Polyclinic of Specialties no. 3 in Tirana, the Minister of Health and Social Protection Ogerta Manastirliu stated that the primary and specialized care visits will start opening soon, but it will continue to be recommended for chronic patients to avoid as much as possible contact with health institutions.
“The opening of the health system will take place in stages. Starting from this week, the opening hours of visits to health centers and polyclinics will be expanded, in parameters and safety protocols respecting physical distance, in order to protect the health of citizens and that of the medical personnel from the spread of COVID19 ”.
“The health system has never been closed down, but on the contrary, for all emergencies the health system has responded in a timely and quality manner to the citizens. The system will open in stages and will start with the plan of opening visits in primary and specialist care, while the consultations or surgical interventions will start in a further phase “, said Manastirliu.
