Maksim Haxhia appointed for “Dajti” case

Dritan Dajti’s process was postponed again, after the lawyer appointed
by the Court, Saimir Visha, did not appear in today’s session.
In these conditions, the Court of Serious Crimes asked the General Chairman of the Chamber of Lawyers, Maks Haxhia, and the Chairman of the Chamber of Lawyers for Tirana, Fatmir Beka, to represent the defendant in court, since more than 200 sessions have failed.
This decision comes in a time when the Court has exhausted all possibilities to unblock Dajti’s process. The idea was given in another session by lawyer Saimir Visha, who debated with the Judge Panel and refused his defence, saying that the Court has not exhausted all the names. According to Visha, the last names are Maks Haxhia and Fatmir Brraka.
The Court of Serious Crimes took strong security measures in today’s session, with armed guards at the gate, without giving a reason for these measures.
