
The Minister of State for the Diaspora, Pandeli Majko, is meeting with the Greek Interior Minister in Athens, Panagiotis Skouletis.
Skouletis guaranteed the minister that the protection of immigrants, especially Albanian ones, is a priority for the Greek government.
Majko underlined the efforts for improving relations between both countries. He mentioned the recent meeting between the two Foreign Ministers and Prime Ministers, which, according to Majko, gave a clear message for the bilateral relations.
“Both states have a joint future together”, Majko said, asking more attention to simpler topics, such as the teaching of the Albanian language.
The Greek Interior Minister admitted that learning Albanian was important.
The Greek Interior Ministry has created a new position, the Special Secretary for Citizenship Matters, who assured the Minister that they are working to facilitate integration procedures for children.
The Interior Minister also said that Albania will have full support from Greece for the EU integration path.
