The Special Public Prosecution in Macedonia has demanded many arrests of
political figures, but none of them were really arrested.

The Prosecution is trying to improve this number at the Court of Appeal, while the Court of First Instance decided to not issue arrest orders for any of the high-level officials.

Katica Janeva, from the Special Prosecution, said they are preparing for the Court of Appeal, which will have two days to decide.

The Prosecution said they were disappointed with the Criminal Court, which didn’t arrest Gruevski but simply seize dhis passport.

The same decision was taken for his collaborators, starting from Mile Janakieski, Gordana Jankuloska, Kilir Bozhinovski and Martin Protugjer. The former Chief of Secret Police, Sasho Mijalkov, also escaped arrest.
