The leader of the Democratic Party in Macedonia, Menduh Thaci, announced
his resignation through a Facebook status this Thursday.
This decision comes after his party lost a significant amount of votes in the Macedonian early Parliamentary elections.
Thaci said that his party will now be in the hands of its Leading Council until the PDSH will hold its extraordinary congress. The date will be decided by the Central Assembly.
Promising to remain a convinced soldier of the Democratic Party, Thaci wrote that Azem Sadiku is now coordinator offurther party activities.
