15/04/2011 14:05

Macedonia Parliament Speaker, Trajko Veljanovski, officially announced June 5th as the date of the early elections.

“Today, according to my constitutional obligations and the decision for dissolving the parliament, I signed the verdict that announces early parliamentary elections to be held on June 5th 2011”, Veljanovski declared.

He invited all political parties to fulfill their obligations and to show responsibility before, during and after the process.

“Every party has the possibility to help in the creation of a constructive climate and for strengthening the mutual trust”, Veljanovski declared.

Early elections in Macedonia will be held after persistent demands by the oppositions, especially by the party of Branko Cervenkovski, LSDM, which boycotted the Parliament as response to the attacks that the government was undertaking against some Medias and societies close to the opposition.
