However, hundreds of merchants visit everyday this area for buying seasonal agricultural products, but not the entire quantity was sold. This has caused several tons of production to get destroyed.

Farmers try to give guarantees that their products are biological and there is no risk for the consumers. These products were sold pretty well until declarations from Germany said that the bacteria E. Coli might had come from Spain cucumbers.

Health Ministry authorities guaranteed that the Albanian products have no risks. Meanwhile, even in Germany there have been controversies on the fact if the bacteria have really come from vegetables or not.
