“Elkos Group”, with its headquarters in Kosovo, started the construction
of the refrigerating premises in Dushk, Lushnje, a 7 million EUR
construction that was inaugurated today by Prime Minister Edi Rama and
MP of the area, Erion Brace. The annual turnover of this investment is
expected to be at around 100 million EUR.
The investor of this business, Ramiz Kelmendi, declared: “This business will serve to the needs of Kosovo and Albania. It will be a production opportunity between farmers and buyers. It will help export in Kosovo, the region and even Europe. Honored Prime Minister, you have taken a special role in the trade exchange between Kosovo and Albania. The businesses of both countries will support you and are ready to act, but this initiative should be activated as soon as possible. Citizens need employment and our countries need development”.
The Prime Minister considered this investment very important for the area, a milestone for the development of the Albanian agriculture, which would gather the revenues to producers who will have the guarantee that their product will be sold.
“We support ELKOS and we want to say to all businesses in Kosovo to keep in mind that Albania is their fatherland, their land, their home. Every business will have strong support and optimal conditions from Albania”, he added.
