Luiza Gega injured, forced to leave World Athletics Championship

Albania lost its only representative at the World Athletics Championship, Luiza Gega.

The Albanian athlete was to compete today for 3000 meters, but she suffered an injury on her leg during preparations.

Doctors confirmed that it is impossible to rehabilitate her on time.

Albania didn’t have in this event even Izmir Smajlaj, European Champion in Long Jump, who was also injured one month ago.
