Luan Mema, the sailor of “Celepia 2”, the fishing vessel that was taken
hostage one month ago by Adel Muhadem Salam, an Egyptian co-sailor. Now
the 36-year-old Mema has returned home, bringing joy to his relatives.
Police took him for questioning about Dhimiter Malja, the captain of the ship, who is nowhere to be fund. Police sources say that Mema’s testimony did not bring new facts.
Salam declared he threw him at sea, close to the Greek coast, after the captain had shown resistance. Police sources say that Mema is no charged of anything, although he has been interrogated twice. Mema thanks the Albanian embassy in Egypt for making possible his return.
