When domestic violence has turned into a serious concern for our
society, the General Prosecutor asks his dependants to implement the
harshest verdicts foreseen by the law for the authors of these crimes.

“Recently we have had cases of family crime. In cooperation with the State Police we have investigated the suspects and the Court has kept them in prison. I will ask all prosecutors to follow a strict penal policy for everyone that threatens the public’s life, property, order and security. This is how we will continue the war against crime and corruption with efficienc”, Llalla declared.

This message was given during the Prosecution Council meeting, in which 19 prosecutors race for leading five District Prosecutions: Tirana, Durres, Fier, Shkoder and the Court of Serious Crimes. The Prosecutor General considers open the war against corruption, and the most important thing, at least for him, is the integrity and professionalism of Prosecutors.

“Meritocracy is the only solid base that will influence the promotion of prosecutors, and this is the only request that I have for you today. The best of us should be valued”, Llalla declared.

The next Council of Prosecution will review the candidacies for the leaders and prosecutors of Vlore and Kurbin. The names that will be elected will be proposed to the Prosecutor General, who will decide to appoint them.
