Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future
The Albanian government is preparing to take concrete steps for enlarging the liquid gas market in our country.
The Minister of Economy and Energy, Nasip Naco, declared that the government is seeing as a priority the electric power produced by gas.
“The Thermo Central of Vlore could use gas generated energy with a capacity of 97 MW. There are other projects related with the reconstrucion of the Fier thermo central, used as liquid gas, and also about the project for the construction of a termo central in the Delvine source, which is administered by the Stream Oil gas”, Naco declared.
Another aspect is the inclusion of Albania in the trans-European gas project.
“The development of the gas pipelines is another objective of the Albanian power sector. We can mention the projects that will connect the Caspian and Middles East resources with the European market through Turkey, Greece, Albania and Italy. I want to mention two of the most important gas projects for our region, such as the Trans-Adriatic and the TAP project, or the other projects such as the Jonian-Adriatic, the IAP project”, the Minister declared.
Naco’s declarations were released during the seminar “The Gas Initiative for the Production of Electric Power”, where there were representatives from the IFC, the World Bank and the TAP Project.
