Lezhe, funeral of three Genova flood victims

The family of the woman who lost her life together with the two daughters were expecting the bodies this Sunday.

The Djala family lives in Shenkoll, Lezhe. Their son and his wife Shpresa, together with their two daughters, 9-year-old Xhoia and 1-year-old Janisa had been living in Genova for many years.
 
The young mother was entering an apartment entrance with her two daughters to escape the flood, but the mud and water killed the three of them.

The father of the family, Flamur Djala, owner of a construction firm, had been living in Italy for the last 15 years. He is still in shock by the tragic way he came to know the fate of his family. While the rescue workers were trying hard to save the woman and the two children, one of them called Flamur to help by giving him in his hands the body of a child, without knowing that it was Flamur’s daughter. The Albanian victims will be buried in Albania after the Italian prosecution will authorize the departure of the bodies.
