Less internship time for Medicine

The internship period for the Medicine students will be only three
months, not one year. One of the candidates for Dean of the Medicine
Faculty, Dr. Pellumb Pipero, currently Director of the Policies at the
Health Ministry, announced to the students and professors his reforming
project for the Faculty of Medicine.
“The experience gained in the recent years at the Health Ministry has given me the courage to reform the Faculty of Medicine, together with the reforms that we are undertaking in the health system. My project consists of a modern and open faculty, with valid diplomas within our domestic market and that can be easily converted abroad; a Faculty of Medicine with accredited curriculum. The three-month internship is enough for preparing the students for the state test”, Pipero declared.
Pipero promises that the diploma will be given after a thesis, and that there will be annual specializations and a digitalization and modernization of the infrastructure for the students, the professors and interns.
