Lazarat, young men throw stones against police

The police were in the center of a village, when a group of young men has reacted against the police presence and asked them to leave, by hitting them with stopnes. Two police vehicles have been damaged.

The situation escalated and the young men were able to create a barricade for some minutes. The police officers returned after some minutes and took some men under custody.

Lazarat has been living for months under increased police surveillance, who have kept staying in the village after an operation for destroying the hashish parcels. More than 100 persons have been arrested by the police in this operation, and the entire village undergoes frequent controls for catching other people who were identified as the shooters who fired their weapons against the police.
