Lawyers protest in Elbasan

The functionality of this institution was paralyzed after lawyer Bujar Dyrmishi was arrested for hitting Judge Xheladin Karkini at his office, due to a banal fight. The Head of the Chamber of Lawyers in Elbasan, Jani Vaso, declared that Dyrmishi’s arrest is against the law and he accused the police of using violence against their colleague.

The Elbasan lawyers are asking for the High Council of Justice to take measures against Xheladin Karkini, who they say has been confronting them even in the past and has blocked their work by even delaying trials.

If no measure will be taken against Judge Karkini, the judicial sessions will be suspended, even the arrest measures. Bujar Dyrmishi, former President of the Librazhd Court was arrested yesterday for hitting Xheladin Karkini at his office, when he was trying to send him out.
