Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future After notifying the High Council of Justice, the Ministry of Justice,
the Ombudsman and the Swedish Authorities, the defensive lawyer of the
Swedish Citizen, Ana Nordstrom, filed a lawsuit at the Tirana
Prosecution against a judge and lawyer.
According to lawyer Agron Bajri, the civil suit of his client is being dragged intentionally, marking a record delay of more than one year and a half. Ana requested the Court to recognize the late Vehbi Veliaj as her father.
“I filed the lawsuit for lawyer Spiro Kaso and Judge Rezarta Balliu. I have also asked the Prosecution to investigated any state administration official, from the Ministry of Prime Ministry, anyone that hides behind this case, because they are intentionally trying to deny the Veliaj’s fatherhood to the Swedish girl”, Bajri declared.
The lawyer declared that the only institution that replied to the reports was the Ministry of Justice, which notifies the interested part to start an inspection on the Tirana Court.
“They come in, go out and change four judges, and none of them undertakes the task to judge him. This is the daughter of Vehbi Veliaj, because she was recognized by him since the day she was born. He paid an alimentary pension for 18 years and this process is absurd. We are talking about a fact, the recognition of him as his father”, Bajri declared.
The 38 year old Ana Nordstrom is the outside-marriage daughter of the Albanian-Macedonian businessman, Vehbi Veliaj. Recognized by his father, she opened a trial process at the Tirana Court for her share of his heritance.
Nordstrom’s lawyer accuses the other studio that represents the interests of Veliaj’s son that he is using power to press the judges, who retire one after another in the sessions and block the process. Velia’s son took his heritance decision in only seven days.
