The Albanian President, Bujar Nishani, held a meeting with professors and academics to discuss the higher education law.
President Nishani said that he wants to consult the interested parties before signing the law.
He said that the newly passed law by the Albanian Parliament has raised concerns among professors and students alike.
“The right to study and the autonomy of universities are basic rights. It is my duty to guarantee the basic freedoms and rights, and the right to education is the most important in a society”, Nishani confirmed.
