Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The government meeting of this Wednesday might be the last that PM Sali
Berisha will hold with the Ministers of the Socialist Movement for
Integration.
Next week they are not expected to sit with the Democratic Party Ministers, since Berisha is expected to replace them this week. Maybe on Monday the new majority in Parliament will be tested without the SMI. Berisha declared that the DP majority still exists, when he spoke about the reformation of the government.
Most of the government meeting was silent and there was no communication between the colleagues, even before the Prime Minister arrived. Berisha also did not mention anything about the government that is about to change.
Berisha promises support on processing industry
The Prime Minister visited a fish processing establishment near Durres, where he paid a special attention to the eels, as an irony to the last year’s meeting between Rama and Meta in an eel restaurant in Durres.
“We go steady towards a third mandate. We will leave them the eels that I just saw here”, Berisha declared.
In this establishment, Berisha declared that the DP program foresees several measures for turning the fish industry into an important branch of the economy, a project based on removing every tax on imported materials and on creating softer loans for investors.
According to Berisha, these measures are included in the program for the development of rural Albania, which foresees the opening of 30.000 new jobs.
