Kurbin, DP to run with first candidate. CEC registers Biba, refuses resignation

There will be no candidates for the Kurbin Municipality. The Socialist
and Democratic Parties will face each other with the respective
candidates.
Ilir Pjetri, the candidate who replaced Altin Biba, will not run under the Democratic Party. Biba was the first one proposed by the Democratic Party, but resigned.
The Central Electoral Commission voted with four votes in favor and three against, a procedure that reflects the request of the Electoral College, which returned the resignation of Biba to the CEC for a review, since it was done after the legal registration deadlines.
For the Electoral College, names of the candidates should not change after the legal deadlines have expired.
The decision of the CEC for Kurbin seems to be similar to the case of Kelcyre. The resignation of the candidate of Kelcyre will also not be accepted, despite the different reasons.
