By using the presence of the media in the court room, the 27-year old
Ilir Kupa exploded in accusations against the Albanian state.
He appeared in court only for the charge of illegal arm possession.
“The Albanian state should be ashamed that Is accusing me. I have nothing to do with Albania. I have no precedent in Albania, besides the illegal arm possession”, Kupa declared.
Prosecutor Granit Shahu told the Judge that the 27-year-old has been arrested for the Greek justice. The court room had an increase number of security guards.
“He hasn’t committed any crime in the Albanian state. He is not a dangerous person in the Albanian state. He kept these weapons to protect himself from the Special Greek police”, declared lawyer Lazer Sokoli.
The Judge left Ilir Kupa in prison for illegal arm possession, while waiting for Greece to deposit the extradition request. Four Greek Police officers have arrived in Albania for the Kupa case and another one that has escaped from the same prison.
Kupa was arrested by the Tirana Police this Saturday morning, after 10 months of intensive searches.
Kupa was arrested on March 2013 from a Greek prison in Trikalla, together with 10 other persons. Three of them were killed in Greece, with Marjan Kola and Edison Lika among them.
