Kulicaj-Balla, Appeal rejects case

The Court of Appeal rejected the suit filed by the General Chief of the
State Police, Agron Kulicaj, against the Socialist MP, Taulant Balla.
The appeal returned the case at the Tirana Court, due to procedural
violations.
After the decision, Balla, who is accused of slander by the Kulicaj, declared for the media that he stands to the declarations made a few time ago for Kulicaj.
“The Court of Appeal rejected an absurd political decision. I stand to everything that I have said”, Balla declared.
Kulicaj asked compensation for moral damages, considering Balla’s declarations in a press release as untrue.
In this press release, Balla mentions Kulicaj as involved in the Virgine Oil scandal.
