The residents in Kukes have escalated their protest against the blackout
undertaken by the CEZ distribution company who claims that they have
not paid it.
Hundreds of protesters blocked the national road in Kukes and paralyzed the traffic for several minutes. They said that they are outraged by the lack of electric power and declared that their protest will escalate.
Many police forces arrived at the scene to disperse the protesters and unblock the road. For some minutes there was tension between the police and the residents that demanded electric power.
They say they’ve been in a total blackout for 11 days, due to the last actions taken by CEZ for collecting the delayed bills and cutting power supply of illegal connections.
