The opening of the new Parliamentary session was greeted by Eduard
Kukan, the head of the Delegation for Balkan in the European Parliament.
Kukan declared that the Socialist’s decision for resuming their activity in the Parliament is a positive step towards the normalization of the political dialogue in the country. He wishes for the Parliament to become the main forum for restarting and stimulating the much needed dialogue between the political forces.
According to Kuka, the cooperation for passing the legislation needed for the EU integration and the implementation of the 12 key priorities set by the Commission for Albania, including an efficient electoral reform for the future, are the main goals the political parties should focus on.
The head of the Delegation for Balkan concludes his press communication by repeating that the country’s EU progress is in the hands of the Albanian political leaders, who must find clear consensus for the European agenda.
