The Ministry of Environment decided to suspend 25 subjects that produce
inert materials, known as quarries, in the Fushe-Kruje area.
The subjects should leave the quarries within 30 days, and after December 15th, the state structures will intervene. The Ministry of Environment and that of Economy are working to find an area where these subjects will work.
According to the Environment Minister, the cleaning and rehabilitation of all 31 hot spots in our country requires a 650 million EUR investment, a cost that the state budget cannot afford. Kola invited the Albanian people to become part of the civil action for cleaning the country on November 22nd.
