The government of Kosovo will not allow representatives of foreign governments to carry out an electoral campaign inside their territory.
This declaration was issued by the authorities in Kosovo after several leaders from Belgrade promised to visit the country during the campaign.
Jetlir Zyberaj, adviser for the Foreign Minister, Behgjet Pacolli, said for Radio Free Europe that no representative from other countries will be allowed to organize a campaign in Kosovo, especially Serbian officials, who have already expressed this intention.
For Pacolli, such measures are understandable, since these officials have the tendency to create internal tensions, which could damage the electoral process. And the government in Prishtina will not allow this.
Besides the Serbian List, which has the support of Belgrade, the Sloboda coalition has also registered for the elections. This coalition is composed of two Serbian political parties in Kosovo.
