While the creation of the Kosovo Armed Forces is a national priority for
the Prishtina Authorities, the Special Court remains a challenge that
should pass through consensus, but none of these issues is about to get
finalized.
Parliament Speaker Kadri Veseli had no desire to answer to questions about the Special Court. He asked journalists to not get concerned about this but focus on other issues.
Answering to other questions about the Special Court and the fact that Veseli was a member of the political group for this court, he said that economic development is a priority.
The opposition, which is against the Special Court, criticized the government for the delays with the army creation law, adding that this is a warning that there might be new negotiations hurting Kosovo.
The Head of the Parliamentary Group of the Self-Determination Movement, Glauk Konjufca, valued the developments with the creation of the Special Court and the Kosovo Armed Forces as political negotiations. He said that it is important to vote the army before creating the Special Court.
The two ruling parties, PDK and LDK, denied relations between these issues, despite the fact that the Constitutional amends cannot be done without the votes of the Serbian majority.
