The debut of Kosovo’s national team was not what expected. In nine
matches, the team has secured only one point, has scored three times and
has taken 22 goals.
But there is a total different story with Kosovo U19. The young team were ranked second in the second phase of the Euro 2018 for this category, leaving behind Israel and Lithuania.
Austria was listed first, with 9 points. Kosovo collected just three points less in the three matches played in this phase.
This means that Kosovo is mathematically qualified for the “Elite Round” of Euro U19, which will be played in Finland the next year.
The qualification was sealed this Monday against Lithuania, when Kosovo won 3-0. As for Albania’s U19, they haven’t played as well as their Kosovo co-nationals. They took the last spot, with zero points.
