The 22nd round of the dialogue intermediated by Brussels between
Prishtina and Belgrade, approximated the opinions of both parties about
the justice system in Northern Kosovo.
“We had a deep discussion for all issues that are related to the justice system, based on the April agreement. All elements are relevant, but we are here today for a package that will be finalized by the Prime Ministers in the next meeting”, confirmed five hours after the meeting the high representative for Foreign Policy and Security at the European Union, Catherine Ashton.
“We have discussed everything as regards the functionality of the justice system, and all were made in full accordance with the law and Constitution of the Kosovo Republic”, Thaci declared.
For the Prime Minister of Serbia, there will be a Court of the Mitrovica District for seven communes, not only those of Serbian majority.
“In courts and prosecution the ethnic composition should be according to the ethnic structure of the population in that area. The specifics and individuality of people should be respected”, Dacic declared.
