Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future With 68 votes in favour, four abstaining and three against, the Kosovo
Parliament approved the resolution for the normalization of the
relations with Serbia.
The resolution was a proposition of the Kosovo Democratic Party, and when it was voted there were 98 MPs present on the Parliament floor.
“The resolution for the normalization of the relations between Kosovo and Serbia foresees the normalization between two independent and neighbour countries”, declared Adem Grabobci, head of the Parliamentary Group before the voting procedure.
Since the EU integration is a common interest, the normalization of the relations with Serbia remains essential for the region and it can be regulated with the Euro-Atlantic integration spirit.
The session started 60 minutes later, after the critics made by the Parliament Speaker, Jakup Krasniqi, towards the government and the Interior Minister for the presence of the police forces outside the Parliament House.
The Police were present due to the Self-Determination Movement protest, but this was criticized by Mr. Krasniqi, who appealed the government and the Interior Minister, Bajram Rexhepi, to not misuse the Kosovo Police officers.
Krasniqi asked for the police to leave, so that the session could start. His speech was accompanied by cheers from the present MPs.
