Kosovo has taken steps ahead for ending the stalemate created by the border demarcation with Montenegro.

The new draft-agreement will be sent in Parliament to be voted, with the new findings of the State Border Commission, which came to the conclusion that the agreement signed in 2015 has damaged the territorial integrity of Kosovo.

The Chairman of the new Commission, Shpejtim Bulliqi, said that the work done by the past commission was full of faults.

However, the general situation remains unclear, since not all details have been revealed.

The Deputy Prime Minsiter of Kosovo, Enver Hoxhaj, disagreed with the findings of the report, saying that it has only complicated the situation without convincing arguments and facts which would prove that the first agreement was wrong.

The new commission for the evaluation of the border demarcation with Montenegro was established by the government of Ramush Haradinaj, who has always criticized the first agreement.

After the meeting, the Prime Minister of Kosovo said that the country has been damaged from the current version of the agreement, and that the report of the new commission is credible and professional.

President Hashim Thaci congratulated the government for the decision and asked MPs to unblock Kosovo’s integration path.
