The establishment of the border line between Kosovo and Montenegro will
start in the next month and finish within this year, as announced by the
daily newspaper “Zeri’.
The process was postponed to 2012, after some procedural uncertainties by the Kosovo government, but both sides are now ready to mark the terrain, by respecting the administrative border of 1974.
“The discussion about the terrain marking will start on May. This is the best time for this procedure”, declared a source from the Interior Ministry.
According to the same source, the matter was dragged until now due to the problems that Prishtina had during 2011 in Northern Kosovo, which absorbed the entire attention of the authorities.
“Kosovo and Montenegro have good relations and we expect that the terrain marking will be realized quickly and without problems”, he added.
Kosovo and Montenegro share among them a 78 long border line, most of which in deep mountainous areas.
