Kosovo, killed Police agent honored as a hero

Enver Zymberi will receive an after death bravery medal for his dedication while establishing rule of law in the entire Kosovo Republic territory.

President Jahjaga will hand the medal to the family members in a special ceremony.

Kosovo Police agent, Enver Zymberi, passed away after receiving deadly wounds by an ambush near the Zubin Potok area.

The 32-year-old was shot in his head by a bullet, and he passed away this Tuesday.

Kosovo President and Prime Minister Condolences

President Atifete jahjaga sent her condolences to the Zymberi family, at Dubovc village. The son of this family, member of Kosovo Police Special Unit lost his life in the line of duty.

“Enver and his colleagues stood in the line of duty for defending law and order, and for establishing the constitutionality in the entire Kosovo territory. They gave an example with their extraordinary sacrifice, their peerless dedication and high professionalism”, the President writes.

Kosovo Prime Minsiter Hashim Thaçi sent his condolences to the Zymberi family, from Dubovc village, Vushtria commune.

The Prime minister says that “the sacrifice of Enver Zymberi for protecting the borders of his country, of the state of Kosovo, will always remain in the heart and thoughts of Kosovo citizens, finding in him the dedication for defending peace and freedom in our country”.

The Prime Minister also adds that thanks to him and other police agents like him, Kosovo institutions received the constitutionality and legality in the entire border checkpoints of the country.
