The Kosovo Minister of Culture honored Ismail Kadare with the “Albanian Literature” prize.
Kadare was in Prishtina to accept the prize. He said that a prize given to him from Kosovo was more meaningful than any other.
“I want to thank Kosovo and my readers here. I am happy to think that I am accepting this prize at the Kosovo Library, the kingdom of readers”, Kadare said.
The writer was received by the Kosovo President, Hashim Thaci, with whom he discussed about the western values of Albanians in Balkan.
Kadare said that Albanians are on a right path, currently being favored by fate.
