Kosovo-Eu Stabilization Association

The dialogue Prishtina-Belgrade is not a condition for Kosovo to receive the Stabilization Association Agreement.

This was declared in Prishtina by the EU Commissioner, Stefan Fule, after meeting Prime Minister Hashim Thaci. Fule greeted the report for the feasibility study and added that Kosovo is ready to fulfil all conditions.

“We have addressed to the report the Northern Kosovo status. This is a challenge in which we are ready to help. You have reached a lot during this year. The start of the visa liberalization dialogue, the dialogue for the rule of law, and there is substantial progress with the participation in the EU programs, where we are not in a discussion level, but have started to take important decisions”, Fule declared.

The Kosovo Prime Minister declared that Kosovo is ready to normalize the relations with all neighbours, especially Serbia, adding that Kosovo and Serbia must help each other in this process rather than blocking.

“The Feasibility Study Document was historical for Kosovo, since it is the first document of the Kosovo state in relation with the EU. Kosovo’s integration is not an option or a luxury. Kosovo’s EU integration is our goal and vision. I guarantee you, dear Commissioner, that Kosovo will produce stable and sufficient arguments so that you can push our European agenda ahead. We are convinced that the short-term criteria will be fulfilled after a few months”, Thaci declared.

Commissioner Fule met the Parliament Speaker and attended a meeting with President Jahjaga.
