Kosovo, debates for the progress report

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, declared that the Progress
Report should not serve for electoral debate, because it is a report for
all Kosovo and not only its government.

Thaci gave this declaration in today’s Parliamentary Session, after MP Ismet Beqiri from the LDK listed the Progress Report objections and accused the Kosovo government of failing with the privatization, the management of the recent elections and public administration reforms.

“There are a series of recommendations that should be approved for getting out from this situation”, Beqiri declared.

PM Thaci reacted by saying that the report doesn’t have only objections, and that the government is not responsible for all negative evaluations.

“The idea of separate powers must be very clear, and not blame the government for  the responsibilities of the judicial system”, Thaci declared.

Thaci added that the progress-report that suggests the start of a dialogue for the visa liberalization will serve as a guide for the reforms in Kosovo.
