A Prishtina Judge issued arrest orders for three MPs of the Self-Determination Movement: Albin Kurti, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi and Albulena Haxhiu, for throwing tear gas canisters inside the Parliament.

The lawmakers of this political force are being accused of using weapons and dangerous instruments for not allowing government officials to do their job.

The Judge gave the arrest order after Kurti, Kadaj-Bujupi and Haxhiu did not appear at court.

The Self-Determination MP, Faton Topalli, who was present during the session, said that the trial is politicized.

Last year, the opposition MPs engaged in protests for more than six months, blocking the Parliament’s work with tear gas. They were against the agreement reached with Serbia for establishing the Association of Serbian-majority Communes, and for the border demarcation with Montenegro.
