Kosovo clashes: one dies, police investigate

Kosovo Police is investigating the grave incident recorded last night between Kosovo Serbians and Albanians in Mitrovica, which resulted with the
death of a Serbian and two others wounded. The two wounded patients are
in serious conditions.
Kosovo Police Spokesperson, Besim Hoti, declared that Sava Mojsic died today in hospital after an operation that lasted several hours. Doctors declared that Mojsic was wounded by firearm.
Police is investigating the details of this violence, in order to find the shooters. Kosovo Presidency and Government condemned the incidents of the Wednesday night.
The Kosovo President, Atifete Jahjaga, declared that the violent acts are intolerable and unacceptable, and that they do not contribute for peace and stability. She invited the Kosovo citizens to show maturity and calm.
The Kosovo government invited the competent institutions to take all necessary measures for brining the authors to justice.
The government invited the citizens to preserve calm and distance themselves from any violent act.
The clashes took palce after KFOR troops intervened by taking under control a roadblock and by crossing the Jarinje border checkpoint.
