One day after the European Commission gave Kosovo the chance to have the
visa liberalization within 2016, the Foreign Minister of Tirana, Ditmir
Bushati, says he is optimist because for the first time, after several
refusals, Kosovo had its progress recognized in the reports.
“It is realistic to expect the dream of Kosovo citizens to move visa-free in the Shengen area within 2016”, Bushati said.
When asked what plays a bigger role for the decision, Bushati said that Kosovo’s implementation of the criteria is as important as the situation in the EU, especially for Kosovo, which has not been recognized by five EU members.
