Korce, thousands residents isolated

The Lekas Commune, in Korce has been isolated the same as Kukes and Shkoder.
The snow in this commune has reached 2 meters, and the road is blocked near Voskopoja. The head of the commune says that he has asked the residents for help, but no vehicle can move to the area, due to the snow.
The road that connects Voskopoja with Korca is also blocked.
All villages, Voskopoje, Shipske, Krushove, Lavdar and Gjonomadh are facing big difficulties, and many villagers have to walk on foot.
The residents have no electricity, no food and neither reserve for their livestock, now that the winter is becoming even harsher. The snow is ruining the roofs of their houses, by putting their life in danger and leaving them under the open sky. The roof of this village’s church was completely destroyed, by damaging the 300 year old monument.
Three residences had their roofs destroyed, while 15 others had serious damages.
