Korce, hailstorm destroys crops

Dozens of hectares of crops and fruit trees have been completely damaged in the Libonik and Bilgarec communes of Korce district.
The cause of this damage are the heavy rains of one day ago, which destroyed the agricultural production. After being forced to throw away the production of one year ago, such as onions and potatoes, due to the lack of market, now their crops are also damaged.
The hail has damaged some residences in Biranj, Lumalas and Melcan. The families appeal for help from the state, revolved from the losses and the lack of market.
The 6000 residents of these villages are in difficult conditions since they are unable to restore the losses. The Agricultural Directory for this district declared that they are establishing a working group for evaluating the damages.
