The Regional Director for the Border and Migration in Korce has been
arrested, while some persons who are suspected to be involved in a
criminal group of industrial good excise smuggling are on the run.
The news was given by the Interior Ministry, who says that Ylber Zyberi, 41, born and resident of Kukes, Director of the Regional Police for Border and Migration in Korce, has been arrested today.
“He is suspected of passive corruption of people in public duties, smuggling with good, and power abuse in cooperation”, the MB declared.
According to the announcement, the Internal Audit, in cooperation with the Korce Prosecution, have been able to hit a criminal group that has smuggled industrial goods in the Zaroshka village, Pustec Commune, Korce.
