Business in Korce is still unclear about the activities it should
establish, while the longevity of private undertakings seems too short.
Business data in this town show a chaotic situation, where many businesses open their activities and many others close it within one year.
Petrika Tollkuci, head of the Tax Office for the Korce Municipality, says that the situation is not positive for the number of subjects that are registered and unregistered within a short time.
“There are 152 subjects that have applied for closing the activity, and 92 others have asked licenses”, says Tollkuci for “Shqip”, referring to the data of the National Registration Center.
According to him, the number of private businesses that register for opening an activity is the same with those that close them.
Different to other years, during 2011, there is a decrease of the number of small businesses, mainly in the retail commerce.
