“Konomi”, Spahiu: Expecting justice

15/09/2011 10:30

The Vice Chairman of the High Council of Justice, Kreshnik Spahiu,
declared that the judicial system is expecting the investigation
institutions to announce the names of the macabre crime, the murder of
Judge Skerdilajd Konomi, and bring them to justice.

“We are expecting justice not only for Judge Konomi, but for establishing in our country the state authority, which is obviously damaged by this crime. Many serious crimes against justice authorities have remained unsolved, but such a precedent must be solved”, Spahiu declared.

One day before this important HCJ meeting, Spahiu declared that the other judges’ life is endangered.

The US Ambassador, Alexander Arvizu, considered this crime as horrible and appealed the police and prosecution to cooperate for solving the murder.

Lawyer arrested for threatening judge

The Durres Police Department arrested this Tuesday a well-known lawyer who has threatened a judge with his life.

According to latest information, the 64-year-old lawyer Vangjel Muzina was arrested after threatening the life of Judge Fejzo Hysi, after the latter ruled against his client.

Sources say that Muzina has threatened the judge by saying: “You’ll end up as Skerdilajd Konomi”.

Konomi is the Judge who was killed some days ago in Vlore by a car bomb.

This murder shows the sophistication of crime and that of criminal systems.

Many judges reacted after the murder, expressing their indignation for the death of their colleague and their vulnerability.

For protesting against this situation, judges all over the country boycotted their work this Monday.
