The Minister of Defense, Mimi Kodheli, reported this Monday at the
Parliamentary Commission of National Security, where he was invited in a
hearing session on the developments of the NATO ministerial, regarding
the visit of Secretary Kerry and the security situation in the region.
Kodheli asid that Albania was prepared and has taken the necessary measures for a possible influx of refugees from Syria.
The Minister of Defense said that based on the information, the refugees might use Albania as a transitory place, but they have no interest to stay here.
In this commission was present the MP of the Socialist Party, Armando Prenga, who was invesgitaged by the Prosecution for threats and illegal arm possession.
Prenga was part of the Parliament work after more than 5 months of absence, after the Supreme Court changed the security measure from house arrest to probation.
