Klement Balili, officially a drug trafficker

The arrest order for Klement Balliu has arrived to Tirana, sent from the Greek authorities.

Police sources confirmed for Top Channel that there are no more legal obstacles to start finding Balili, who most probably ahs not left Albania yet, since there is no track of his movements in the border checkpoint systems. However, he could have left with false documents or illegally.

Police say they had the situation under control and were waiting only for the arrest order. Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri said on Top Channel’s “Top Story” that his arrest was a matter of hours, until the request came from Greece.

No one gives details why the arrest order was delayed, although Balili’s name was seen in the Greek media before the Court had issued the order.

Balili was the only name missing from the list of suspects that were arrested after the international drug operation that involved law enforcing agencies from several countries in Europe, and even the American DEA.

17 members have been arrested so far, 11 Greek and 6 Albanain citizens. The arrests were carried out in Greece and Belgium.
