Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The efforts of KFOR for entering in the roads of Northern Kosovo have
failed, although the deadline left to the Serbians for removing the
roadblocks had expired.
The KFOR motorcade entered the Chaber village of Mitrovica, the last village of Albanian residents. They returned after some hours, after failing to find an agreement with the Serbian illegal structures.
KFOR explains that this withdrawal was decided because they are waiting the results of the Parallel Communal Assemblies meetings in the Northern Communes, expected to take place this Wednesday.
Valdete Osmani, Top Channel’s correspondent in Mitrovice, declares that the roads are still blocked. The KFOR press declaration says that the motorcades have started to supply the KFOR troops in Jarinje and Bernjak through the roads in Northern Kosovo.
KFOR adds that the goal of their mission is to test the freedom of movement. Based on the results of this mission, KFOR will undertake further actions, according to their press release.
