The KFOR commander, Salvatore Cuoci, talked about the territorial exchange between Kosovo and Serbia, a topic that has been discussed very often recently in the media.
He made it very clear that KFOR is not involved in these talks, but he didn’t deny the fact that it could exist as an idea.
“However, this is something that could encourage other situations in Balkan. This is why when we talk about territory exchange we must not forget that it is not only about Kosovo and Serbia. However, this is not part of our mandate. This decision is taken by higher instances, and it is not a decision that can be taken only in Belgrade or only in Prishtina”, Cuoci said.
When asked if there is the risk of having the past being repeated in Balkan, Cuoci said that no country would want the past to be repeated.
